HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! These last two weeks have been so crazy, but I have never been more grateful for my job and this little life I get to live. I know I’ve been totally slacking on the blogging front, so I wanted to make sure I got at least one of my recent weddings posted before the marathon that next week is going to be for me.
Julie + Joel have been together since high school and finally got hitched on the most beautiful stormy-then-sunny-then-stormy day. Julie and I knew each other when we were kids, so it was so much fun for me to be able to reconnect with all these wonderful and sincere people from my childhood.
(almost as much as I love those doors.)
Joel’s dad officiated the ceremony and as soon as Julie and her dad reached the front, he grabbed their photo on his ipad… HILARIOUS. And considering the super, super strict photography rules at this church, I was super jealous. haha.
All the decor was done by Tamara Hydock, and she is AMAZING.
I am kind of a sap when it comes to weddings. It used to always be the ceremony that got me, but at this one, it was the dancing. There was this moment right before Julie and Joel left where all of their closest friends were on the dance floor singing some Black Eyed Peas. It just felt like the culmination of everything their relationship had been leading up to – all of their loved ones in full-on celebration mode. So much joy. Gets me every time.
Huge thanks to Danielle Wells for assisting and to Michele Davis for running the photobooth!
