A two-day celebration in the snowy mountains of Colorado. The first day, a celebration & party. The second day, a morning wedding & brunch. And zillions of moments for portraits, all over the insanely beautiful property of Devil’s Thumb Ranch (and we all know how I feel about that).
It was such a refreshing switch up from the usual structure of a wedding day—and perfect for the kinda people who swear by brunch but also love a good dance party. Get married how ya wanna get married, ya know?
When I first started shooting, Sarah was my little muse. We LOL’d forever at all the “fashion” shoots we did back in college, but I am so grateful for each and every one of them and what they taught me. And I’m mostly grateful to be able to have the front seat and see this all come full circle once she found Greer. The honor of being invited into celebrations like this is one thing—but to see this kind of happiness on the face of a friend you love is the most special thing in the entire world.
So grab some tea and stay awhile (because this isn’t gonna be short).
Day two. I woke up before the sun and drove over to Sarah’s cabin as she got ready. The fog had frozen everything in sight and made everything feel like a whisper. A magical, snowy start to this celebration.
venue: Devil’s Thumb Ranch // hair + make up: Meagan Bechtel
Thank you thank you Greer + Sarah for trusting me and making it the most natural thing to be by your side all day. Love you forever and ever.
