2022 was more intimate, more meaning, more film, more flash. More and more and more good things.

This is the year I fell in love again with the whole process — with shooting on a zillion different cameras and trying new lenses and doing things differently than I have in years. I feel the same way I did at 16 with my dad’s old camera, just thrilled to be holding it in my hands. 10 years ago I moved out of my parents’ house and into my own apartment in dallas, tx — just hoping to be able to cover my rent with photography. I wish I could high five that version of me for taking that step, for not accepting the other job offers, for believing this was a life worth pursuing.

And here I am, living a life I’m obsessed with. I’m doing it all (and sometimes with a baby on my hip). I’m discovering more and more every day what it means to be an artist, business owner and a mother at the same time.

Thanks, as always, for being here with me. 2022 was just so good.
